WORTON KITCHEN GARDEN | OXFORDSHIRE

I shot these images while second shooting for my wonderful friend Sarah Joy Landon who was the lead photographer for this wedding.

As a wedding photographer, Worton Kitchen Garden, in Oxfordshire, is one of the most romantic and whimsical venues I’ve had the opportunity to photograph at. A fully al fresco wedding (apart from getting ready) allowed the charm of Worton Kitchen Garden to shine through. Their ceremony was held in front of the Old Shop, Their drinks reception was held in the orchard and around the greenhouses, (one of the most picturesque spots at Worton Kitchen Garden), their wedding breakfast was enjoyed among the flowers and their dance floor was in Worton Kitchen Garden’s iconic glasshouse.

Worton Kitchen Garden is the perfect wedding venue for the modern couple with both gorgeous outdoor and indoor spaces available for any weather and season. Ceremonies can happen in front of the Old Shop for a garden wedding feel or in the Glasshouse, where the wedding breakfast can also be served if not having an outdoor meal.

The wedding ceremony was held in front of Worton Kitchen Garden’s gorgeous Old Shop, a perfect space for a garden wedding vibe. As the weather stayed dry it allowed for a fully outdoor ceremony among the flowers, growing vegetables and many, many bees.

For their portraits, we had a wonder around Worton Kitchen Garden’s land, exploring their growing spaces. Thomas, their videographer (Ever Joy Wedding Films), had brought with him a Super8 video camera to document their day with. While we were exploring the fields he suggested they should film clips of each other and while they did that, we could film and photograph them.
