Damola and I met at Fletcher Moss Park, Manchester. While a much smaller area than I like to shoot in, Fletcher Moss was such a beautiful area to shoot in. The flowers were in full bloom, the trees were green and the sun was out. Thankfully it was a warm, dry day, which I know is super rare in the North (Manchester especially), but it enabled us to just relax, chat and take photos together.
I was really happy that Fletcher Moss Park provided us with so many unique spaces. It is perfect for a portrait photoshoot. I wouldn't necessarily shoot a couple or a family there due to the spaces being smaller than I prefer for my shoots but for a self-love or confidence shoot in Manchester, it is a perfect option for people who might not be able to travel further out.
Self-love or confidence photoshoots can feel really daunting going into them, but we always choose locations that you would be comfortable in. Fletcher Moss had lots of spaces where we could shelter from the gaze of families and dog walkers and would be perfect for someone who maybe wanted to do their shoot close to Manchester but not with an audience of people. Various other locations like Tatton Park and Heaton Park just outside of Manchester may work better for people who are a little more comfortable with people being around as there are fewer places to hide away.
