What is an intentional portrait photoshoot?
I love for people to come to their portrait session with an intention or two to build into the foundation of the session. These sessions are more than just a photoshoot, they're an opportunity to connect with yourself, to remind yourself of who you are, to reclaim yourself and to celebrate yourself. You can set whatever intentions are in your heart, and we can talk about what that might look like for you. These sessions are full of feeling, are gentle, wholesome and are always tailored to be truly personal to you.
Some intentions that people set are:
Celebrating where you are in your life or how far you've come on a personal journey
Self-love and a reminder that you're beautiful, special and important
Body confidence, celebrating your body or using the session as a step on your journey to love your body
Reclaiming who you are after a difficult time

A bit about me...
My style is gentle meets wholesome, meets adventure, meets authenticity, meets the wonderful great outdoors. In my work, I really focus on creating not only beautiful photos but photos that feel like you. Photos that you can look back on and remember exactly who and how you were at the time. After all, photos are physical forms of memory.
A big part of my work is the natural world and I can't think of a better place to celebrate your story than in the world that homes us. I love the big places, where you can roll in the sand, run into the sea, adventure into the tallest of hills and stand on the tops of mountains. Despite this, I am also very aware that these big spaces aren't always accessible and studio/home sessions can be just as beautiful and intimate.
I am Charlotte Dormoy, a hopeful romantic, a lover of love and a storyteller who provides photography across the North West UK and beyond.
